Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 3-30g Tonifies Qi and Blood, strengthens the Spleen, Tonifies Wei Qi, stabilizes the exterior, raises the Yang Qi of the Spleen and Stomach and relieves numbness and pain.
With Gui Zhi, for Qi and Blood Deficiencies and Ying and Wei Deficiencies with numbness and painful obstruction of the musculature.
Ram. Cinnamomi Gui Zhi 3-12g Releases the exterior, assists the Yang, adjusts the Ying and Wei, releases the muscle layer, warms the channels and collaterals to relieve pain, warms and facilitates the flow of Qi through the channels and collaterals and Blood through the vessels, assists the Heart Yang and warms and facilitates the flow of Yang Qi in the chest.
With Bai Shao, for External Wind-Cold with disharmony between the Ying and Wei (Tai Yang Zhong Feng), with spontaneous sweating, fever and chills warms and tonifies the Middle Jiao.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 3-30g Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin, adjusts the Ying and Wei, calms Liver Yang and Liver Wind and alleviates pain.
With Gui Zhi, Sheng Jiang and Da Zao, for Wind-Cold with Deficiency and perspiration.
With Huang Qi, Gui Zhi, Sheng Jiang and Da Zao, for Bi syndrome.
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 3-12g Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, augments Qi, nourishes the Blood, calms the Spirit and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Sheng Jiang, adjusts the Ying and Wei for treatment of Tai Yang Zhong Feng.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 3-18g Releases the Exterior, induces perspiration, disperses Cold, warms the Middle, normalizes the flow of Qi at the center and reduces the toxicity of other herbs.
With Gui Zhi, strongly induces sweating for treatment of External Wind-Cold with chills, fever, body aches and anhidrosis.
With Da Zao, for External Wind-Cold.
