- This herb has wasp or hornet toxins that have Wind-dispelling and detoxifying properties.
- This herb is used topically for nonsuppurative skin conditions.
- This herb is used topically as a powder mixed with grain-based alcohol for a swollen and painful tongue in children.
- This herb inhibits the growth of gastric and Liver cancer cells.
- This herb treats suppurative osteomyelitis and pyogenic carbuncles, furuncles and sores.
- To treat bee stings and pyogenic swellings, burn into ashes with baby hair and snake slough, and take 2g a day with wine.
- It is said that this herb cures breast cancer and galactostasis when burned to ashes and decocted (6g at a time for 6 minutes).
- One source says that it cures pyogenic acne rosacea when roasted, ground and taken 1g at a time three times a day.
- Bleeding tongue, spitting Blood and nasal hemorrhage can be treated by mixing 30g of the top hard part of Lu Feng Fang, 12g of Bul. Fritillariae Cirrhosae Chuan Bei Mu and 9g Hb. Aloes Lu Hui. Grind and roll with honey to make small pills. Decoct 1 pill each time in a bowel of water and take orally.
- Use 6g of dry-fried Lu Feng Fang alone in decoction for mastitis.
- Calcined Wasp Nest Duan Feng Fang is stronger, less toxic and easier to use.
