- Nocturnal emissions and loss of Jing is Yang unable to maintain Yin. Loss of Jing in the urine is the Yin failing to maintain Yang. This herb treats both.
- One source says that this herb should be dry-fried for use.
- It can be used alone as a powder for Kidney Yang Deficiency.
- Both Jiu Cai Zi and Actinolitum Yang Qi Shi strongly tonify the Kidney Yang. Yang Qi Shi is fiercely warming in nature, warms the Ming Men and reduces both mobile and fixed masses. Jiu Cai Zi warms the Yang and astringes the Jing and urine.
- Dry-fried Chinese Leek Seeds Chao Jiu Cai Zi are stronger at warming the Kidneys and astringing the Jing.
