- The literal translation is “stone for raising the Yang”.
- This herb can reduce abdominal masses associated with Cold in the Lower Jiao.
- It can treat deep-seated Blood Stagnation, Wind-Damp-Bi or edema due to Deficiency Cold of the Lower Jiao.
- Both Yang Qi Shi and Sm. Allii Tuberosi Jiu Cai Zi strongly tonify the Kidney Yang. Yang Qi Shi is fiercely warming in nature, warms the Ming Men and reduces both mobile and fixed masses. Jiu Cai Zi warms the Yang and astringes the Jing and urine.
- Calcined Actinolitum Duan Yang Qi Shi is more easily pulverized and decocted and is most commonly used.
- Wine Actinolitum Jiu Yang Qi Shi is more easily pulverized and decocted and more strongly strengthens the Yang.
