Sang Piao Xiao is sweet, salty, neutral, tonifies the Kidneys and more strongly astringes Jing and urine.
- Dry-fried Cuttlefish Bone Chao Hai Piao Xiao is less fishy tasting and has a stronger ability to restrain and stabilize, especially in regard to Dampness. It is also better able to reduce Stomach acid and is frequently used to treat vaginal discharge due to Spleen and Kidney Deficiency and acid regurgitation due to Stomach disharmony.
- Calcined Cuttlefish Bone Duan Hai Piao Xiao is able to enter the Blood aspect, strongly astringe Blood to stop bleeding. It can also be used for vaginal discharge.
