- On the medial side of the foot, in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone.
Note: first locate SP-3 Taibai, then slide proximally along the shaft of the first metatarsal bone until it reaches the depression at the base of the bone (approximately 1 cun). - In the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone, at the junction of the red and white skin.
- On the medial aspect of the foot, at the anterior, inferior margin of the first metatarsus, one cun behind the joint of the big toe.
- Approximately 1 cun posterior to SP-3 Taibai, in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone, at the junction of the red and white skin.
- Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
- Puncture perpendicularly 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
- Moxibustion is applicable.

- This point has a pronounced effect on emotional disorders.
- This is a major point for abdominal pain above the navel.
- This point is usually coupled with PC-6 Neiguan for abdominal pain and especially for Liver Qi Stagnation Attacking the Spleen.
- This point is good for someone who feels they have no future.
- It is most frequently used for Excess conditions, such as Dampness in the epigastrium, Blood stasis of the Stomach, Stomach Heat and Rebellious Stomach Qi.
- It is best for Intestinal pain above the navel.
