- Overdose will cause numbness of the lips, tongue, and extremities, vomiting, facial pallor, irritability, decrease in the pulse rate and blood pressure, difficulty in breathing, and coma.
- Some sources classifies this as an "Expel Wind and Dampness" herb.
- This herb is stronger and more toxic than Rx. Aconiti Preparata Zhi Chuan Wu.
- The tincture is used for local anesthesia.
