NAME: CHENGJIANG

LOCATION:

  • In the depression in the center of the mentolabial groove.
    Note: the mentolabial groove runs horizontally, approximately midway between the chin and the lower lip.
  • On the chin, in the depression below the middle of the lower lip.

NEEDLING:

  • Puncture obliquely upward 0.2 to 0.3 cun.
  • Moxibustion is applicable.
  • Slanted insertion, directed upward, 0.3 to 0.5 cun. Sensation: local distention and pain.
  • Transverse-oblique insertion directed superiorly 0.2 to 0.3 cun.
  • Transverse insertion along the lower lip to join with ST-4 Dicang.

  • Meeting point of the Large Intestine, Stomach and DU channels.
  • Exit point
  • Sun Si-miao Ghost point
