Rx. Angelica Sinensis Dang Gui 3-30g Nourishes and invigorates Blood, moistens the Intestines, unblocks the bowels and alleviates pain.
Rx. Gentianae Long Dan Cao 3-15g Drains Damp-Heat from the Liver and Gallbladder, drains Excess Liver Fire and relieves toxicity.
With Huang Lian, for red, swollen, painful eyes due to Excess Heat in the Liver channel.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 3-30g Clears Heat, eliminates irritability, drains Damp-Heat, reduces Fire and cools and invigorates the Blood.
With Da Huang, for constipation.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 3-30g Drains Fire, relieves toxicity, drains Dampness and drains Heart and Stomach Fire.
With Huang Qin and Huang Bai for high fever, irritability, dry mouth and throat and dark urine.
With Huang Qin and Zhi Zi, for high fever, irritability, dry mouth and throat, and dark urine due to Fire toxin in the three burners.
With Huang Qin and Da Huang, for hematemesis and rectal bleeding due to Blood Heat.
Cx. Phellodendri Huang Bai 3-30g Drains Damp-Heat and relieves toxicity.
With Zhi Zi, resolves constraint and directs Qi downward for clearing Heat and Fire from the Liver channel.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 3-30g Clears Heat, drains Fire, dries Dampness and sedates ascendant Liver Yang.
With Zhi Zi, powerfully clears and drains lurking Heat from the Lungs with fever, fullness in the chest, cough with yellow sputum and epistaxis or hematemesis.
With Da Huang, for constipation.
Hb. Aloes Lu Hui 1.5-15g Purges, drains Fire, clears Heat and cools the Liver.
With Long Dan Cao, Huang Qin and Huang Lian, for Heat in the Liver channel with epigastric pain, dizziness, headache, and irritability.
With Long Dan Cao and Zhi Zi, for Heat in the Liver channel with epigastric pain, dizziness, headache, and irritability.
With Long Dan Cao, Zhi Zi and Qing Dai, for Liver Fire.
Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang 1.5-15g Drains Heat, purges accumulations, cools and activates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Xue Stage Heat, drains Damp-Heat and reduces Fire toxicity.
With Huang Lian for fullness and distention due to Heat accumulation.
