- 4 cun directly above the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.
- 1.5 cun posterior to UB-6 Chengguang and 4 cun within the hairline, 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.
- Note: the distance between the glabella (M-HN-3 Yintang) and the lower border of the occipital protuberance (DU-16 Fengfu) is measured as 14 cun. This point is located 1.5 cun lateral to this line. It can also be located 1 cun anterior and 1.5 cun lateral to DU-20 Baihui.
- Puncture subcutaneously 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
- Moxibustion is applicable.
- Transverse insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
- Transverse insertion towards the front or back of the head, 0.5 to 1 cun. Sensation: local distention.
