- In the tender depression superior to the medial end of the scapular spine, midway between SI-10 Naoshu and the spinous process of T-12.
- In the depression at the extreme medial end of the and above the spine of the scapula, in the supraspinous fossa.
- Perpendicular insertion 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
- Oblique lateral insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
- Caution: Too medial or deep medial insertion may puncture the Lung.
- Straight insertion 0.5-0.8 cun. Sensation: local distention and soreness.
- Puncture perpendicularly 0. 3 to 0.5 cun.
