- On the medial aspect of the lower leg, 5 cun superior to KI-3 Taixi, on the line drawn between KI-3 Taixi and KI-10 Yingu, about 1 cun posterior to the medial border of the tibia.
- Locate at the junction of the lower third and upper two thirds of the distance between KI-3 Taixi and KI-10 Yingu, at the level of LIV-5 Ligou.
- 5 cun directly above KI-3 Taixi, at the lower end of the belly of the gastrocnemius muscle, on the line drawn between KI-3 Taixi and KI-10 Yingu.
- About 5 cun above KI-3 Taixi and 2 cun posterior to the medial margin of the tibia.
- Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.
- Puncture perpendicularly 0.5 to 0.7 cun.
