- With the arm raised, this point can be found in the center of the armpit, medial to the axillary artery.
- In the depression at the center of the axilla.
Note: with the arm raised, the point is in the depression at the highest point of the axillary hollow.
- Straight insertion, 1 to 1.5 cun. Sensation: local distention and soreness, or an electric, numb sensation extending toward the forearm.
- Perpendicular insertion in the direction of GB-21 Jianjing 0.5 to 1 cun, avoiding the axillary artery.
- Moxibustion is applicable.

- Use this point with great caution.
- It is said that one should stand or sit with enough space in the axilla to hold an egg in order to keep the the arm and hands warm.
- This is a very powerful point.
