  • Behind the ear, midway between GB-20 Fengchi and SJ-17 Sifeng.
    Note: This point is found close to GB-12 Wangu, but posterior and slightly superior to it.

NEEDLING:

  • Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
  • Straight insertion 1 to 1.5 cun. Sensation: local distention and soreness, sometimes extending throughout the side of the face needled.
  • Puncture perpendicularly 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
