- This herb can be used as an external application for boils and swellings.
- Rx. Rosae Chinensis Yue Ji Gen is given for leukorrhea, nocturnal emission and traumatic injury. Dose: 6-20g.
- Both Yue Ji Hua and Flos Rosae Rugosae Mei Gui Hua move Qi and Blood and are used for irregular menstruation, premenstrual breast distention and abdominal pain due to Qi and Blood Stagnation. Mei Gui Hua addresses the Qi, while Yue Ji Hua acts on the Blood. Mei Gui Hua enters the Liver and Spleen channels to restore harmony among the Liver, Spleen and Stomach. It is often used for Liver Qi Stagnation Attacking the Spleen and Stomach with a stifling sensation in the chest, belching, flank distention and anorexia. Yue Ji Hua enters the Liver channel alone and is stronger at moving Blood. It can reduce swelling and resolve toxicity to treat sores due to Qi and Blood Stagnation Transforming into Fire and treats scrofula.
