- Both Di Fu Zi and Rx. Sophorae Flavescentis Ku Shen clear Damp-Heat, expel Wind, alleviates itching and facilitate urination. Di Fu Zi is superior at expelling Wind, resolving Dampness and alleviating itching while Ku Shen is better at clearing Damp-Heat. It is used externally to clear Heat toxin which causes itchy sores and internally it treats dysentery and jaundice due to Damp-Heat.
- This herb can be used alone for urinary tract infections during pregnancy.
