Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 6-9g Tonifies, activates and harmonizes the Blood, moistens the Intestines, unblocks the bowels, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
With Gan Cao, moderates spasms and relieves abdominal pain.
Colla Corii Asini E Jiao 6-9g Tonifies and nourishes the Blood, stops bleeding, nourishes and moistens Yin and moistens the Large Intestine.
With Huang Lian, for Heat toxin clumping in the Intestines, injuring the Blood collaterals causing Blood and pus in the stools.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 6-9g Clears Heat, drains Dampness and stops bleeding.
Rz. Zingiberis Gan Jiang 3g Warms the Middle and expels Cold.
With Huang Lian, for epigastric pain and distention, dysentery, indeterminate gnawing hunger, vague abdominal pain or discomfort, belching and nausea.
With Huang Lian and E Jiao, for chronic diarrhea with damage to the Yin leading to a condition with mixed Hot and Cold with Blood and pus in the stool.
