Cx. Mori Sang Bai Pi 15g Drains Heat from the Lungs, stops cough and calms wheezing.
Rx. Peucedani Qian Hu 10g Expels Phlegm, descends Qi and expels Wind-Heat.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 10g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Jie Geng, for pain and swelling of the throat.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 10g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat, expels pus and opens and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Gan Cao and Huang Qin, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity, and expels pus for productive cough with hoarseness and pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat.
Rz. Anemarrhenae Zhi Mu 10g Clears Heat from the Lungs and Stomach and drains Fire.
With Zhe Bei Mu, for cough due to Lung Heat or Yin Deficiency with expectoration of thick, yellow sputum.
Bul. Fritillariae Thunbergii Zhe Bei Mu 10g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm and stops cough.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 10g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire and detoxifies.
With Zhi Mu and Sang Bai Pi, for acute and chronic Lung Heat cough.
With Zhi Zi, powerfully clears and drains lurking Heat from the Lungs with fever, fullness in the chest, cough with yellow sputum and epistaxis or hematemesis.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 10g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability, Cools the Blood and relieves toxicity.
Per. Trichosanthis Gua Lou Pi 10g Clears the Lungs and transforms Hot Phlegm.
Periostracum Cicadae Chan Tui 10g Disperses Wind and clears Heat
With Pang Da Hai, for hoarseness and loss of voice due to Lung Heat.
Sm. Sterculiae Lychnophorae Pang Da Hai 10g Clears and disseminates Lung Qi.
With Zhe Bei Mu, Jie Geng and Chan Tui, for hoarseness due to Lung Heat and cough due to Phlegm-Heat.
