Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
With Bai Shao, for Blood Deficiency Heat.
With Xuan Shen, for Excess or Deficiency Heat patterns and Kidney Yin Deficiency with Fire Blazing with soreness and swelling in the throat, dry mouth and a parched tongue.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 6-12g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and clears Liver Fire.
With Sheng Di Huang, for Ying and Xue Stage Heat with a high fever, scarlet tongue, thirst, a rash all over the body, epistaxis and hemoptysis and Kidney Yin Deficiency with steaming bones.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 5-30g Nourishes the Blood, regulates menstruation, astringes Yin, calms Liver Yang and Liver Wind and alleviates pain.
Cx. Phellodendri Huang Bai 3-12g Drains Damp-Heat especially from the Lower Jiao, drains Deficiency Heat, drains Fire and relieves Fire toxicity.
Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 7-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin, drains Fire and relieves toxicity.
Fr. Ligustri Lucidi Nu Zhen Zi 4.5-18g Nourishes and tonifies Liver and Kidney Yin and clears Deficiency Heat.
Hb. Ecliptae Mo Han Lian 9-15g Nourishes and tonifies Liver and Kidney Yin, cools the Blood and stops bleeding.|
With Nu Zhen Zi, for dizziness, blurred vision, and premature graying of the hair due to severe Liver and Kidney Yin Deficiency with ascendant Yang.
With Sheng Di Huang, for hematemesis and hematuria due to Hot Blood.
