Fol. Eriobotryae Pi Pa Ye 4.5-16g Transforms Phlegm, clears Lung Heat and descends Lung Qi.
With Xing Ren, for Lung Heat induced non-productive cough or cough with viscous sputum that is difficult to expectorate, with chest pain and a dry throat.
With Sang Ye, harmonizes the Lungs and Liver.
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 10-30g Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, augments Qi and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
Rx. Codonopsis Dang Shen 6-14g Tonifies the Middle Jiao,augments Qi, and tonifies the Lungs.
With Fu Ling, for Spleen and Stomach Deficiency.
Fol. Mori Sang Ye 4.5-14g Disperses and scatters Wind-Heat, clears Heat from the Lungs, stops coughing and moistens Dryness.
With Shi Gao, for Warm Dryness attacking the Lung with fever, a hacking cough and a dry, parched throat.
Rx. Peucedani Qian Hu 3-10g Expels Phlegm, descends Qi and expels Wind-Heat.
Sm. Armeniacae Xing Ren 3-10g Stops coughing, calms wheezing, moistens the Intestines and unblocks the bowels.
With Ma Huang, for coughing and wheezing due to Excess.
With Ma Huang and Shi Gao, for coughing, thirst and wheezing due to Excess with Lung Heat.
With Sang Ye, for headaches, fever and a dry non-productive cough from External Warm-Dryness disorders.
Rx. Polygalae Yuan Zhi 3-15g Expels Phlegm, opens the Orifices, clears the Lungs and stops coughing.
Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae Rubrum Ju Hong 3-9g Dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm and Descends Qi.

With Ma Huang, alleviates cough and wheezing due to Phlegm caused by Wind-Cold.
