Rx. Ephedrae Ma Huang 4-30g Induces sweating, releases the exterior, disseminates and facilitates Lung Qi, calms wheezing and stops coughing.
With Xing Ren, for Wind-Cold cough and wheezing.
Cx. Mori Sang Bai Pi 4-30g Drains Heat from the Lungs, stops cough and calms wheezing.
With Di Gu Pi and Gan Cao, for cough with thick sputum, fever, irritability, and thirst due to Phlegm-Heat Obstructing the Lungs.
Fr. Perillae Zi Su Zi 4-30g Stops cough, calms wheezing, descends Qi, dissolves Phlegm, moistens the Intestines and unblocks the stool.
With Xing Ren, for cough and wheezing with constipation.
Sm. Armeniacae Xing Ren 4-30g Stops cough, calms wheezing, moistens the Intestines and unblocks bowels.
With Ma Huang and Gan Cao, for cough with profuse sputum, nasal obstruction and a hoarse voice.
Poria Rubra Chi Fu Ling 4-30g Clears Dampness and Heat.
Per. Citri Reticulatae Chen Pi 4-30g Regulates Qi, adjusts the Middle, relieves the diaphragm, dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm and descends Qi.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 1-15g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Ma Huang and Xing Ren, for coughing or wheezing due to Wind-Cold Attacks the Lungs.
