Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen 2-9g Tonifies Lung Qi and strongly tonifies Yuan Qi.
With Huang Qi, tonifies Qi and strengthens Wei Qi for Qi Deficiency with general debility, anorexia, and spontaneous sweat and Lung Qi Deficiency.
(Rx. Codonopsis) (Dang Shen) (12-18g) (Substitutes for Ren Shen if not critical.)
Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 3-30g Tonifies Wei Qi, stabilizes the exterior and tonifies the Lungs.
Rx. Rehmanniae Preparata Shu Di Huang 3-24g Nourishes Yin and arrests cough and wheezing.
With Wu Wei Zi, strengthens the lower body.
With Ren Shen, for Qi and Yin Deficiencies.
Fr. Schisandrae Wu Wei Zi 1-6g Tonifies Qi, astringes Jing, helps the Kidneys grasp Qi and astringes leakage of Lung Qi.
With Huang Qi, for Yang Deficiency with spontaneous sweat.
Rx. Asteris Zi Wan 3-9g Moistens the Lungs, stops cough and expels Phlegm.
With Wu Wei Zi, for productive cough, wheezing and spontaneous perspiration.
With Ren Shen, Huang Qi and Wu Wei Zi, for chronic cough due to Lung Deficiency.
Cx. Mori Sang Bai Pi 3-12g Drains Heat from the Lungs, descends Lung Qi and stops cough and wheezing.
