NAME: YOUMEN

English:	Hidden Gate
Also Known As:	Dark Gate

LOCATION:

On the upper abdomen, 6 cun above the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to the Midline (REN-14 Juque).
0.5 cun lateral to REN-14 Juque, on the abdomen.

NEEDLING:

Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
Caution: deep needling, especially in thin patients, will puncture the Liver on the right side and the peritoneum on the left.
Straight insertion 0.7 to 1 cun.
Puncture perpendicularly 0.3 to 0.7 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.
