POINT: GB-25 (GALL BLADDER-25)

NAME: JINGMEN

English:	Capital Gate
Also Known As:	Capitol's Door

LOCATION:

Below the lateral aspect of the rib cage, anterior and infer to the free end of the twelfth rib.
At the side, just below the twelfth rib.

NEEDLING:

Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
Caution: in thin patients, deep needling may penetrate the peritoneal cavity.
Straight insertion0.7 to 1 cun.
Puncture perpendicularly 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
Moxibustion is applicable.

Regulates the water passages
Fortifies the Spleen
Regulates the Intestines
Strengthens the lumbar region

Borborygmus
Cold or Damp diarrhea

Lower abdominal pain
Painful Shan disorder
Weakness of the spine
Lumbar pain with inability to stand for long
Pain of the lateral costal region and back
Pain of the inner aspect of the scapula
Hip pain
Hypochondriac pain
Lower jiao wasting and thirsting
Painful urinary dysfunction

Difficult urination
