- Below the lateral aspect of the rib cage, anterior and infer to the free end of the twelfth rib.
- At the side, just below the twelfth rib.
- Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
- Caution: in thin patients, deep needling may penetrate the peritoneal cavity.
- Straight insertion0.7 to 1 cun.
- Puncture perpendicularly 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
- Moxibustion is applicable.
