- On the midline of the back, in the depression below the spinous process of the seventh thoracic vertebra.
Note: this point is located at the level of UB-17 Geshu. - Below the spinous process of the seventh thoracic vertebra, approximately at the level of the inferior of the scapula.
- Between the spinous processes of the seventh and eighth vertebrae.
- This point is said to calm the urge to kill.
- Oblique superior insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
- Caution: the spinal cord lies between 1.25 and 1.75 cun deep to the skin surface, varying according to body build.
- Slanted insertion, 0.7 to 1 cun. Sensation: distention and soreness extending to the low back and chest.
- Moxibustion is applicable.
