- This herb may be used alone as a juice or mixed with Ginger juice to mitigate its Cold properties.
- This substance can be stored in sealed containers for long periods of time.
- Some sources say that this herb clears Phlegm from the Heart and brain.
- Use 3 to 6g twice daily for infantile convulsions with rolling of the eyes and foaming at the mouth.
- For epilepsy (closed disorder) caused by Phlegm, use with Heat-clearing and resuscitation herbs.
- This herb mobilizes Phlegm. Phlegm at the vertex can be directed downward, Phlegm in the chest and diaphragm can be unbound, Phlegm in the four limbs can be dispersed, Phlegm in the organs, channels and collaterals can be leached out and Phlegm between the skin and the membranes can be mobilized.
- Withdrawal mania and seizures can be arrested using this herb.
- Both Zhu Li and Silicea Bambusae Concretio Tian Zhu Huang have similar functions. Zhu Li is quicker acting and directly enters the channels and collaterals, is colder, more slippery and focuses on dislodging Phlegm and keeping the Orifices open. Tian Zhu Huang is slower to act, calms the Spirit and controls palpitations and anxiety.
