NOTES

  1. In its raw form, this herb removes Stasis but its ability to stop bleeding is slight and is used for retained placenta, hemorrhoids and prolonged lochia.
  2. Use fresh to treat diarrhea in children from food poisoning.
  3. Charred Lian Fang is the form most commonly used, especially for continuous uterine bleeding, hematuria, and bleeding hemorrhoids.
  4. Because its effects are mild, it is used as an adjunctive herb.
  5. Charred Lotus Receptacle Lian Fang Tan is better at restraining and inhibiting to stop bleeding.
