- In its raw form, this herb removes Stasis but its ability to stop bleeding is slight and is used for retained placenta, hemorrhoids and prolonged lochia.
- Use fresh to treat diarrhea in children from food poisoning.
- Charred Lian Fang is the form most commonly used, especially for continuous uterine bleeding, hematuria, and bleeding hemorrhoids.
- Because its effects are mild, it is used as an adjunctive herb.
- Charred Lotus Receptacle Lian Fang Tan is better at restraining and inhibiting to stop bleeding.
