- Sophora Alopecuroides Ku Dou Zi has a long history as a traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of bacillary dysentery, enteritis, hepatitis and other diseases, and exerts a critical role in the treatment of tumors.
- Inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
- External application of the oil is effective for eczema and tinea.
- 5-7 seeds ingested daily treats leukorrhagia. The seeds should be swallowed, not chewed. If chewed they can cause dizziness and headaches.
- 6g in decoction of the root Ku Dou Gen, relieves toothache.
