- The effect of this herb is double that of Hippocampus Hai Ma. It is much bigger than Hai Ma with a longer body and a straight tail which does not curve. Hai Ma which is Warm and Sweet, fortifies the Kidneys, warms Yang, treats impotence, reduces fixed abdominal masses, treats swollen, deep-set toxic sores, difficult labor and pain from Qi and Blood Stasis.
- Wine-prepared Pipe Fish Jiu Zhi Hai Long, is better tasting and is stronger at fortifying the Kidneys and tonifying Yang.
