Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 6g Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, disperses Cold, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and stops pain due to Blood Stasis.
Dry-fried Rx. Paeoniae Alba Chao Bai Shao 6g Nourishes the Blood and astringes Yin.
With Dang Gui, nourishes Yin and Blood.
With Gan Cao, for muscle spasms, pain and numbness, especially in the calf, due to Blood Deficiency.
With Dang Gui and Shu Di Huang, for dizziness and blurred vision due to Blood Deficiency.
Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 6g Harmonizes the Exterior and Interior and disperses Wind-Heat.
With Bai Shao, for Liver Blood Deficiency with Liver Qi Stagnation.
With Gan Cao, for Wind-Heat fever.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 6g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire, detoxifies and cools the Blood.
With Chai Hu, for Heat in the Shao Yang with alternating chills and fever and nausea.
With Bai Shao, cools and nourishes the Blood.
Rx. Rehmanniae Preparata Shu Di Huang 15g Nourishes the Blood and nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin.
With Dang Gui, for Blood Deficiency marked by dizziness, palpitations, insomnia and menstrual dysfunction.
Cx. Lycii Di Gu Pi 15g Cools the Blood, drains Yin Deficiency Fire and clears and drains Heat in the Lung.
With Huang Qin, for Blood Deficiency Heat.
Hb. Leonuri Yi Mu Cao 15g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Stasis, Promotes urination, reduces swelling, clears Heat and resolves toxicity.
Dry-fried Rz. Anemarrhenae Chao Zhi Mu 10g Clears Heat, drains Fire, nourishes Yin, moistens Dryness, generates Fluids, clears Deficiency Fire and quenches thirst.
With Huang Qin, for Cough with Excess Lung Heat.
Rz. Alismatis Ze Xie 10g Promotes urination, leaches out Dampness and drains Kidney Fire.
Rx. Saposhnikoviae Fang Feng 10g Releases the Exterior, expels External Wind, expels Wind-Dampness and alleviates pain.
Rx. Polygoni Multiflori He Shou Wu 10g Tonifies the Liver and Kidneys, nourishes the Blood and Jing and expels Wind from the skin by nourishing the Blood.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 10g Moistens the Lungs, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Long-lasting and recurrent itchy patches with small vesicles
  • The lesions are dull red or dirty gray
  • The skin is rough, infiltrated or lichenified with scratch marks
  • Red eruptions around the edge of patches
  • Erosion and oozing
  • Crusting or scaling, or small amounts of exudation
  • Easily flares-up
  • Skin lesions spread out all over the body
  • Mental exhaustion
  • Dry throat
  • Thirst
  • Five sole Heat
  • Dark and scanty urine
  • Difficulty in falling asleep because of the intense itching
