Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 9g Breaks up Blood Stasis, invigorates Blood circulation, moistens the Intestines and unblocks the bowels.
Flos Carthami Hong Hua 9g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, opens the channels and alleviates pain.
With Tao Ren, invigorates the Blood for all types of Blood Stagnation.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 12g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Sm. Ligustri Lucidi Nu Zhen Zi 15g Nourishes and tonifies Liver and Kidney Yin and clears Deficiency Heat.
Sm. Trichosanthis Gua Lou Ren 30g Clears Heat, transforms Hot Phlegm, expands the chest, moistens the Intestines and promotes bowel movements.
Rx. Codonopsis Dang Shen 9g Tonifies the Middle Jiao, augments Qi and nourishes the Blood.
Rz. Cyperi Xiang Fu 9g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi and alleviates pain.
With Yan Hu Suo, treats everything from Liver Qi Stagnation to Deep Blood Stasis with pain anywhere in the body including stabbing chest pain.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 9g Moistens the Lungs, nourishes Stomach Yin, clears the Heart and eliminates irritability.
Rz. Corydalis Yan Hu Suo 9g Invigorates the Blood, circulates Qi and stops pain.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND HERB/DRUG INTERACTIONS

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • If there is essential hypertension or if the blood pressure rises after administration of this formula, reduce the amount of Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao to 9 grams. Substituting Rx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata Zhi Gan Cao can also ameliorate this problem.
