 With Bo He, Huang Qin, Jing Jie and Lian Qiao, for Wind-Heat.

 With Shi Gao, for cough from Heat Obstructing the Lungs with wheezing and flaring of nostrils.
Hb. Schizonepetae Jing Jie 6-15g Releases the exterior, expels Wind, moves Qi, vents rashes and relieves itching.
 With Bo He, releases the exterior to induce sweating, disperses Wind-Heat, vents rashes and alleviates itching.
With Fang Feng, for exterior Excess and initial-stage boils.
Hb. Menthae Bo He 3-15g Disperses Wind-Heat, cools and clears the head and eyes, benefits the throat and vents rashes.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 3-15g Clears Heat, reduces Fire and eliminates irritability.
Talcum Hua Shi 9-90g Promotes urination and drains Heat.
Gypsum Shi Gao 3-30g Clears Heat in the Qi Stage, drains Fire, clears Excess Heat from the Lungs, clears Blazing Stomach Fire, heals sores and wounds, nourishes Body Fluids and stops thirst.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 6-15g Clears Heat, relieves toxicity and expels external Wind-Heat.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 3-30g Clears Lung Heat and drains Fire.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 6-30g Opens Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, expels pus, benefits the throat and directs the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
 With Gan Cao, for hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat.
With Dang Gui, for ulcerated abscess where pus is being discharged slowly.
Rz. Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 3-15g Activates Blood, regulates Qi, expels Wind-Cold, alleviates pain and treats headaches.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-15g Moistens Intestines, unblocks bowels, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 6-15g Nourishes Blood and alleviates pain.
With Chuan Xiong and Bai Shao, for harmonizing the Blood to Dispel Wind.
Rz. Atractylodis Macrocephalae Bai Zhu 6-15g Tonifies the Spleen and tonifies Qi to protect the Spleen from the harmful effects of the other herbs.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 3-60g Tonifies the Spleen, tonifies Qi, moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the properties of other herbs.
