With Zhu Sha, Zhe Bei Mu, Shi Chang Pu and Gou Teng, for manic behavior due to Phlegm-Fire agitating the Heart.
Arisaema cum Bile Dan Nan Xing 3-10g Clears Heat, dissolves Phlegm, calms Wind and stops convulsions.
Rz. Fritillariae Thunbergii Zhe Bei Mu 9-12g Clears Heat and transforms Phlegm.
With Lian Qiao, clears Heat toxin, transforms turbid Phlegm and opens Stagnation to treat thick yellow sputum, scrofula and goiter from Phlegm-Fire.
Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 4.5-12g Clears Heat, cools the Blood. nourishes Yin, drains Fire and relieves toxicity.
With Mai Men Dong and Lian Qiao, for a sore, swollen throat from toxicity and Heat.
Rx. Asparagi Tian Men Dong 9-12g Nourishes Kidney Yin, clears Lung Heat, sedates Fire, moistens the Lungs, nourishes the Kidneys, generates fluids and resolves Phlegm.
With Mai Men Dong, for symptoms due to Yin Deficiency and injured fluids.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 9-12g Moistens the Lungs, nourishes Stomach Yin, generates Fluids, moistens the Intestines, clears the Heart and eliminates irritability.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 3-12g Clears Heat, especially in the Upper Jiao,relieves toxicity and clears Blood Heat.
Ram. cum Uncis Uncariae Gou Teng 4.5-9g Extinguishes Wind, alleviates spasms, drains Liver Heat and pacifies Liver Yang.
