Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 12g Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, disperses Cold and stops pain due to Blood Stasis.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 12g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, cools the Blood and relieves pain.
With Bai Shao, for spasms and cramping pain associated with Blood Deficiency and Blood Stagnation.
Sanguis Draconis Xue Jie 12g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, alleviates pain and stops bleeding.
Olibanum Ru Xiang 10g Invigorates the Blood, promotes the movement of Qi, reduces swelling and generates flesh.
Myrrh Mo Yao 10g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, alleviates pain, reduces swelling, generates flesh and promotes healing.
With Ru Xiang, disseminates and unblocks the organs and dredges the channels and collaterals to treat epigastric, flank, abdominal and joint pain.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Chronic diarrhea with a feeling of incomplete evacuation or tenesmus
  • The diarrhea may be purple or black
  • It may be sticky or tarry
  • It will contain mucus or clots of Blood
  • Fixed and localized, sharp or stabbing abdominal pain
  • The pain is usually in the lower left quadrant
  • The pain is worse with pressure
  • There may be palpable masses
  • Dark complexion
  • Dark lips
  • Dark rings around the eyes
  • Spider naevi or vascular abnormalities over the abdomen, face and legs, particularly around the inner knees and ankles
  • T: Purplish or with purple/brown petechial spots
  • C: Little or none
  • P: Wiry or Choppy or Thready
