Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 10g Resolves Shao Yang disorders, reduces fever, disperses Wind-Heat and resolves Phlegm and congestion.
With Huang Qin, for Heat in the Shao Yang.
With sheng Gan Cao, for Wind-Heat fever.
Rz. Scutellariae Huang Qin 6g Drains Fire and detoxifies.
Fresh Rx. Glycyrrhizae Sheng Gan Cao 6g Disperses Wind-Heat and cools and clears the head and eyes and benefits the throat.
With Chan Tui, powerfully expels Wind-Heat.
Periostracum Cicadae Chan Tui 6g Disperses Wind and clears Heat.
Fol. Eucalypti An Ye 6g Promotes expectoration, resolves Phlegm-Heat and Dryness, relieves coughing, tonifies Lung Yin, relieves the bronchi, promotes sweating, expels Wind-Heat, reduces fever, opens the sinuses and relieves pain.
Hb. Menthae Bo He 3g Disperses Wind-Heat and cools and clears the head and eyes and benefits the throat.
With Chan Tui, powerfully expels Wind-Heat.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 3g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat, expels pus and opens and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Sheng Gan Cao, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity, and expels pus for productive cough with hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat.

  • At the beginning, the patient has a low and raspy voice
  • The vocal cords are swollen and red
