Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 10g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, activates Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and clears Liver Fire.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 30g Clears Heat. cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 10g Clears Heat., cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, activates Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Liver Fire, drains pus and reduces swelling.
With Chi Shao, for purpuric rash, hematemesis, and Heat injuring the Ying and Xue levels.
With Ju Hua, for dizziness and red, swollen eyes due to ascending Liver Fire.
Fol. Mori Sang Ye 10g Disperses Wind-Heat, clears Liver and eyes, clears Heat from the Lungs, moistens Dryness, stops cough, cools Blood and stops bleeding.
 With Ju Hua, for Wind-Heat induced cough, eye redness, swelling and pain.
Flos Chrysanthemi Ju Hua 10g Disperses Wind, clears Heat, calms the Liver, clears the eyes, extinguishes Wind and detoxifies (purifies Blood).
Cx. Dictamni Bai Xian Pi 10g Clears Heat, resolves Fire-toxicity, expels Wind, dries Dampness, clears Damp-Heat and stops itching.
With Ku Shen, for Damp-Heat sores that itch.
Rx. Sophorae Flavescentis Ku Shen 10g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, disperses Wind, kills parasites, stops itching and promotes urination.
Fr. Kochiae Di Fu Zi 10g Clears Damp-Heat, promotes urination, expels Dampness, stops itching and clears Wind-Heat affecting the eyes and head
 With Sheng Di Huang and Bai Xian Pi, for Damp-Heat or Wind-Heat causing eczema and itch.
Fr. Xanthii Cang Er Zi 10g Disperses Wind and Dampness, opens nasal passages and relieves pain and itchiness.
Zaocys Wu Shao She 10g Dispels Wind-Dampness, strongly unblocks channels, dispels Wind from the skin and the sinews and strengthens tendons and bones.

SYNDROMES

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • The lesions tend to develop on the lateral aspects of the extremities
  • They are especially severe on the lateral sides of the elbows and knees
  • They may also concentrate on the trunk and scalp
  • The lesions are pink or red papules and plaques with distinctive borders
  • Itching is intense
  • Lesions are characterized by many layers of dry, silvery scales
  • If lightly scraped, a pink , semi-transparent membrane is formed
  • If continually scraped, tiny spots of blood may develop
  • Lesions may vary in size from dots to coins and may be either circular or geographic
  • Scalp lesions will be dark red and covered with grayish white scales from which hair may grow in bundles
  • The hair will not fall out.
  • Lesions on the fingernails and toenails will appear as dotted depressions
