Rx. Pseudostellariae Tai Zi Shen 12g Strengthens the Spleen and tonifies Qi.
Rx. Linderae Wu Yao 9g Promotes movement of Qi, warms the Kidneys, disperses Cold and alleviates pain.
Sm. Arecae Bing Lang 10g Regulates Qi, reduces accumulations, drains downward and unblocks the bowels.
Lignum Aquilariae Resinatum Chen Xiang 9g Promotes movement of Qi, descends Qi, regulates the Middle, dispels Cold, warms the Spleen and Stomach, stops vomiting and alleviates pain.
With Wu Yao, for a stifling sensation in the chest and diaphragm with wheezing, distention, and anorexia.
With Mu Xiang, for rebellious Middle Jiao Qi and alleviates pain.
With Mu Xiang and Bing Lang, for constipation due to Liver Qi Stagnation.
With Wu Yao, Bing Lang and Mu Xiang, for chest and abdominal distention and pain due to Accumulation of Cold.
Fr. Perillae Zi Su Zi 10g Stops cough, calms wheezing, descends Qi and dissolves Phlegm.
Rz. Cyperi Xiang Fu 9g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi and alleviates pain.
With Wu Yao, unblocks Qi in both the Qi and Blood levels, releases constraint from the Liver and Gallbladder, descends Qi in the chest and abdomen and warms Qi which has been slowed by pathogenic Cold.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 5g Clears Heat, drains Dampness and drains Stomach Fire.
With Zhi Ban Xia and Gua Lou, for Phlegm-Heat clumping in the chest with feelings of oppression beneath the Heart with pain on palpation.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for Cold and Heat in the Middle Jiao with abdominal fullness, nausea and vomiting.
Per. Citri Reticulatae Chen Pi 10g Regulates Qi, adjusts the Middle, relieves the diaphragm, dries Dampness and transforms Phlegm.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for a stifling sensation in the chest and cough with excessive white, viscous sputum due to Phlegm-Damp Obstruction.
With Sha Ren, for belching, nausea, and a stifling sensation in the epigastrium due to Disharmony of the Stomach Qi.
Fr. Trichosanthis Gua Lou 12g Clears Lung Heat, transforms Hot Phlegm, regulates Qi, unbinds the chest, reduces abscesses, dissipates nodules and eliminates pus.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for focal distention in the chest and diaphragm due to clumping of Phlegm and Heat leading to Qi Stagnation and chest Bi due to clumping of sticky, thick and turbid Phlegm.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Progressive dysphagia
  • Dull pain in the chest and back
  • Vomiting after eating
  • Frequent epigastric and abdominal distention and fullness which is worse after eating
  • Vomiting of partially digested food about twelve hours after eating
  • Vomiting relieves the abdominal discomfort
  • The vomitus may have thick or thin frothy mucus
  • Copious salivation
  • Maybe epigastric masses and/or splash on palpation
  • Stuffiness in the chest
  • General weakness
  • Acid regurgitation
  • Nausea
  • T: Normal or Bluish and dark red
  • C: Whitish or greasy and white or Yellow and greasy or Yellow- curdy
